I came in just after 9 am for a coffee and to get some work done. It's one of the few places open at this time on a weekday. At ground level there's very little space and it was too chilly to sit outdoors, but upstairs there was plenty of room to work at one of the dining tables (I was the only one there so nice and quiet). Service is very friendly and accommodating.
I can't comment on the cakes or food as I didn't have any. Even though I live in the area, I didn't know about this place yet, but based on my experience I will certainly come back. It would be even better if they served a simple breakfast (like a croissant or something similar). And a modern interior upstairs could work wonders; dark floor, dark leather chairs and dark wooden tables and further dark furniture make it feel quite heavy. Luckily the windows provide plenty of light, especially on a sunny day.
