We booked a table for 6 persons last Friday at 6pm and we’re looking forward to the full experience! The restaurant is located in the heart of the red district, has a nice terrace and a cool interior. The staff, the food, drinks and ambiance are really nice. The downside of our experience is the fact that the table was only equipped for 5 instead of 6 persons and we we’re made aware of the 2 hour time slot applicable for our booking in advance. Even though it felt like we needed to speed up with everything suddenly the last half hour. We barely received our main course by then and were urged at 7:45pm to finish our meal as the next group would be present at 8pm. This felt way too pushy as we were planning to also take a dessert to wrap up the experience. We had to rush eating and leave the table at 8pm to move to the bar, which was not an option earlier as this is the waiting spot for guests that are waiting for their table. We eventually decided not to have dessert and left the restaurant at 8:15pm to have a dessert elsewhere. By the time we left still no new guests had taken place at our table and lots of tables still available. We felt like this whole pushy act wasn’t necessary at all…. All in all this turnaround time and super fixed time slots do not work for a 3 course meal and are killing the whole restaurant experience. Either choose to provide longer time slots, which means less time slots per day or don’t offer 3 course meals within a fixed 2 hour time frame.
