Spent some time on last day of visit. Interesting to see early work and latter period include famous Sunflowers. Although the Iris painting and meadow painting were my favourites.

Buy tickets on-line in advance (and include the audio tour) - otherwise face an extremely long queue. Once inside, the audio tour really comes into its own. It is very clever - a series of numbers on different parts of the exhibition can be independently dialled into the device meaning that you can wander around the museum in any direction without having to simply follow the crowd. The museum itself is full of VG's works (around 100 of them), and his short, but tragic life is fully explained. His influence on other artists is also well documented. All in all, this is a superb museum and well worth our second visit.

Visiting the museum was an enlightening and educational experience. Learning a little bit about the life of this tortured artist, whilst wandering around some of his original masterpieces, was both amazing and humbling at the same time. His love for the working class and his ability to find beauty in most anything was truly inspirational. My only disappointment was not realising that my favourite painting of his, The Starry Night, is actually hanging in New York.

The museum itself is very beautiful. The audio guide really showcase the life of Van Gogh and the painting are beautiful. Definitely a must see in Amsterdam. Do buy the tickets online to avoid ques.
