We stayed here as a family booking 2 rooms across from each other. We had 2 nights as we were doing a bit of a tour around Switzerland.

The hotel is well positioned and close to the train station and all the sights of Lucerne.

Rooms a good size and had power blinds, we stayed room only so can't comment on the food quality.

Staff at reception very polite and the hotel and rooms very tidy.

There was some ongoing work in the area which meant cranes and other construction vehicles were about, but that didn't impact us as we were out during the day.

The main issue which has stopped me giving a 5* rating was the noise in the room and this impacted all our sleep during our stay. In hindsight I should have probably made more of a fuss.

The gym was on the floor above us and someone was working out early both mornings that woke us all up in our separate rooms, in fact on our final day as I was queuing at reception to mention this another couple were also there voicing there concerns as it had disturbed them also.

On the first morning I assumed it was the construction work but on the second I realised this wasn't the case.

I didn't inspect the gym to see what flooring was down but I suspect the sound is travelling down through that. Maybe the hotel could look at keeping the gym area closed until 8am. Not sure if it was the same person both mornings but when you book a hotel you expect a good night's sleep and not to be woken by someone's early morning workout.

Despite an coverall good stay the sleep issue would prevent me from returning to this particular hotel unfortunately
