We had a group of 19 friends on Switzerland Grand Train Tour booked through Swiss Travel Center (STC). This hotel asked me for 500 CHF cash deposit even they already had my credit card information while the rooms had been paid for through STC; not to mention the room arrangement were messed up as they misread the information provided by STC. STC sent them the booking as 9 double rooms and 1 single room. The hotel gave us 8 double rooms and 3 single rooms. Fortunately, they had one last double room available.

My friends would like to have hot water for their own tea after they checked in. The hotel staff said "NO" while there was no tea bag, no coffee, no kettle in the room. My friend said he would pay for hot water and just give him the bill. Even they didn't charge him at the end, but the feeling was terrible! In the morning when we were having breakfast, the staff told us that we could not have more hard boiled eggs while there were eggs available at the restaurant. We had a group of 19 and there were only about 24 eggs "designated" for us. After serious protests, they finally gave us some extra eggs.

All of us have been traveled to many places around the world, leisure or business. This hotel gave us the worst experience even compared with some hotels in developing countries. It was shocking in a country that is famous for hospitality, this property would ruined the reputation of Switzerland!

We booked the hotel online. We were placed in the annex which had rooms with shared bathrooms (2 Rooms for every Bathroom). The rooms were clean and well-kept with a very convenient location not far from the railway station and the local sights such as the Lion Monument, Chapel Bridge and Lake Lucerne.
The staff was very welcoming, warm and helpful. I would absolutely recommend it.

Our family had a very comfortable stay here. Not fancy but clean and the shower had excellent water pressure. The staff was nice and very accommodating. Breakfast had enough selection to please everyone in our family.
