We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and were surprised to be given 3 bed rooms instead. The hotel has a side lift to get to the apartment. Staff was very attending and friendly, introduced and brought us to the lift and taught us how to use it. Breakfast was good but u have to order eggs and bacons separately. Simple spread. Location of hotel was good as only 10min walk from Lucerne station. View from the hotel room was good and gave the old charms of church bells. Hotel gave a pass where we can take free bus rides around certain zones of the city.

All reviews authentic hotel an early flight old town older part excellent location swiss hospitality breakfast was delicious great room mt pilatus overlooking the lake bells

We went only to the restaurant here not the hotel. The prices were good and it was in a perfect location to people watch and enjoy the surroundings. The washrooms were clean and staff was very friendly to deal with.

A charming and great hotel. Rooms were spacious, bathroom had nice toiletries and hair dryer. No A/C, but hotel provided a large fan in room and windows open. Very helpful and kind staff. Breakfast was lovely each morning. Would definitely stay again.

We visited for lunch and were not hotel guests. Menu comprises traditional Swiss fare so we opted for the veal liver and bratwurst, both of which were superb. Lovely quiet picturesque location. Had a nice chat with the waiter at the end of the meal but I think I was short changed by a few francs but I'm sure it was an honest mistake - it must be very difficult waiting on outside tables in 34 degree heat! I can't comment on the hotel itself but would certainly recommend the restaurant.

The hotel is very conveniently located and has an old world charm to it - which means that if you are staying in the historic wing, the floors may creak, lighting might be dimmer than is norm, and rooms and baths may look dated. We also heard chimimg bells from a watch tower close by a couple of times at night. However, we didn't mind any of these minor inconveniences much as we were staying for just a night and actually enjoyed the overall experience. Though the housekeeping and cleanliness in the bathrooms could be a bit better - we found a few amenities missing (like just 1 pair of bathroom slippers for a room with 2 guests, opened packs of vanity kits that might have been used by the previous guests and hadn't been replaced with new ones etc). But, the location and service, especially from Ms. Flavia amacher, was amazing. She was very helpful, kind and accommodating. She truly extended the swiss hospitality and made us feel very welcome. The other lady at the reception, apologies we didn't get her name, who helped us leave our luggage at the reception in the morning, was extremely nice too and even had our bags sent to our rooms. All in all, we would come back here for the amazing service, the old world charm, and the prime location.

Just back from a wonderful stay in Lucerne and Hotel Rebstock played a huge part in that. We had the most amazing view from our room overlooking the lake and Mt Pilatus. We couldn’t wait to open the curtains each morning to see how the view had changed. Our room was in the older part of the hotel so the rooms had wooden floors, yes you could hear people move around in the room above us but this certainly didn’t detract from the great room with everything you could need in it or the views you woke to each morning!
All front of house staff we met were fantastic. Everyone was always ready to offer assistance and answer any questions that we had. We were even offered a “lunchbox” for the morning we left as we had an early flight so wouldn’t be able to make breakfast.
It was the definitely the small things at Hotel Rebstock that all added up to a fabulous stay!
