I can't say enough about the awesome location and the amenities in the room. I don't think I ever stayed in a hotel with a separate room for the sink, another for the toilet and yet another for the shower - all adjoining, and incredibly large. It felt luxurious!
In the evening it was an easy stroll along the promenade or you could take the bus - the stop was right outside the hotel. Very convenient.
We traveled as part of a pre-cruise tour group. There was, however, an issue with the breakfast process - not with the food, but rather with the organization. You arrive at the breakfast room, give your room number to the host, who then takes you to a table. Normally this isn't an issue unless you have many people in a group standing in a queue. It takes far too much time to check off the first couple, then go to the table, then come back, and so on......Why not have several hosts to accommodate larger groups, especially when the hotel knows the group is leaving that morning?
The coffee - again, this could be due to the number of people at the dining room at the time, but on the first day it took about 10 minutes to get coffee after the waiter took our order. It is Cafe Americano (we prefer stronger) so on day 2 we asked for the coffee accompanied by a double shot of espresso. 35 minutes later and after asking multiple waiters, our coffee arrived. Each waiter seemed surprised that our coffee had not yet arrived as they could see on their tablets that it had been ordered. There is no coffee machine where someone could simply get up and get their own cup. Clearly we would have done that. I think on this particular moment the waitstaff was overwhelmed by the number of people eating breakfast at the same time. Our group was heading out and perhaps there were other groups doing the same?
Aside from the long wait time at breakfast, we did enjoy our stay.
