Geneva is not cheap. Once you get over that, you can settle down and enjoy yourself. Food here was really tasty. Lamb was succulent and nice. My partner also had steak and he enjoyed it too. Highly recommended.

An excellent place to stop for a drink or meal and endulge in people watching as you will be sitting across the Hotel de Ville and not far from the terrace promenade. My lamb was tender but felt a bit too saucy and overdone. Cudos to the staff and service.

Authentic local cusine in the in the old part of Geneva. Sitting on the corner of a cobble stone lane, is in a quite beautiful part of Geneva.

We were attracted to this establishment because it looked classic European from the outside. We walked in for a late lunch at 2.00 pm and we could have been walking into a WW2 movie setting. Classic furniture, classic wait staff and maitre'd in their black and whites. There is only one word to describe seeing them all in action - professional.
The menu was classic European with a broad range of options - soup, pasta, schitzel, fish, sausage, steak tartar (made at the table too). We each had a soup to start. The classic French onion was the stand out but the fish soup was still up there too.
Veal with mushroom and rosti is another classic and it was up to the same standard as the starters. My main was a selection of grilled Geneva sausages with onion gravy (and just a hint of anise) with a side of leek and cheese casserole - great food made with love. All washed down with a bottle of local pinot noir.
This brasserie is located in the old town so tourists abound in the area but most of the tables had locals sitting at them. I know why and if I visit Geneva again I will also visit this restaurant again.

We really enjoyed this Brasserie. We struggled to find a not touristic place like this in Geneva. Here you find all traditional dishes served for local people. The collection of police hats along the roof is also incredible and reminds of the past of this place which was in the past also a prison.
We went for their recommended menù with a fish&salad starter and a great main dish based on pork and polenta. Highly recommended!
