Description: Tamero is the coolest restaurant in Florence in the heart of Oltrarno: piazza Santo Spirito. The restaurant is well known for the express hand made pasta. After the 11.00 p.m. Tamero is a club where you could see the best jazz and rock band play good music.

Simple yet innovative pasta dishes superbly cooked. Located in Piazza Santo Spirito, had a less touristy feel. Inside live jazz, lots of tables outside.

Tamero’ is a hip place with fascinating interior located next to Piazza Santo Spirito. We visited the place due to good reviews and expected an unique experience but sadly visited at wrong time (lunch). If you want something extraordinary but tasty make sure to go here after 5pm and if you are looking for good homemade pasta at a friendly price this is a place to go for lunch. For lunch, they are serving fixed menus for 10€. You can choose between a variety of pasta, pizza and a few meat dishes. Coffee and water are also included in the price. We ordered the terrific potato stuffed pasta with bacon and shrimp, good spinach ravioli with sage and butter and pici caccio e pepe which were nothing to write home about. My sister ordered tagliatelle in tomato sauce but the plate sadly didn’t make it to the table in time. The dissatisfaction disappeared when she got the food and it was absolutely delicious. We finished our experience at Tamaro’ with proper Italian coffee. Overall, we liked the place and it was a good value for money. If I had the time I would probably return here to try the dinner as well.

We stayed in Florence for four days and came here three times (once to eat)! Food amazing, wine amazing, art amazing and service fantastic - Paulo super friendly, amazing English and very knowledgable. This is a secret gem that you must visit in santo Spirito! :)

I’ve been several times in Florence and keep returning to Tamero! Food is very good (I personally recommend the Cacio e Pepe) and service is excellent which I’ve found hard to find in Florence.

Looking forward to my next pasta here!
