Owner description: The chapel, designed by the architect Filippo Brunelleschi and completed in 1461, was one of the first buildings designed in the Renaissance style.

Understated, early Renaissance, formality and elegance. Very nice to witness in person. It is difficult to imagine how radical this was when the architect designed it. Brava, Brunelleschi!

The Pazzi Chapel has some interesting history, but the edifice itself pales relative to the Basilica di Santa Croce, of which it is a part.

The Pazzi Chapel has very good architecture and is located in the cloister of the Basilica of Santa Croce. There is a dome at the porch with a very beautiful design. It was built by the very prominent Pazzi Family that wanted to make a name for itself with this chapel.

Exquisite Renaissance architecture example by Brunelleschi is found after you leave the church between the tombs of Machivelli and Rossini
