A must see in Florence but go with a group as the queues to get in are ENORMOUSLY LONG.....Allow at least 1/2 a day....Too much to take in at once and very busy all year round.

We bought the tickets online. We picked up the tickets 15 min before our scheduled time and went in smoothly in the museum. The place is full of art pieces some of which are very popular even to non art lovers. I think it is worth a visit because you get to see many pieces of art which we normally see in books or tv. It takes a least 2 hours to visit all but you can take all the times you want. Nice view of Ponte Vecchio as well.

It is like traveling through time - magnificent Renaissance paintings - also had a wonderful guide Rosa Shamash - an absolute wealth of information. She brought our visit to life,

The gallery was wonderful but the ticketing process was disjointed. We bought a voucher in Australia through Viator to skip the queue only to find we needed to queue to change this to tickets. We then went to another queue to enter. We still waited about 35 minutes and this is the low season. Bit of a take really but the gallery was amazing and would recommend it. Even if you have a voucher get there about an hour early.
