From the outside this is not exciting but it was really very good. A section of the 5th floor of the Hotel Nettuno is run as a separate concern and a room was booked for us by friends who lived nearby.
Once past the greyness of the building and through the security doors the place is immaculate. The rooms are spotless and the "owner", Sandra, went out of her way to be helpful. Breakfast was fine and overall we were very happy with this quiet accommodation.
If we were to visit Catania again we would look no further.

This B & B was true to the reviews posted. Its a hidden Gem, the outside is not much to look at, but the inside is very clean and relaxing. These are sound proof rooms- we didnt even know that there were others staying there. There is a mini amusement park, a grocery store and also several Restaurants all near by. Most of the restaurants near the water offer entertainment and/or happy hour specials. Sandra was simply a gem, she made fresh Croissants every morning during our stay and also was able to suggest a driver/tour guide who was very helpful and friendly.
The only downside was the Credit Card Machine was down during our stay and we needed to pay in cash.

Room tip: Make sure you reserve a Balcony room.

The room was completely renovated and had a really nice balcony, so it was definitely nice. However, the location was pretty bad, hard to find and fairly far away from the places most people would want to go. Unfortunately the service was far from impressive, certainly not due to lack of trying, but it was simply very, very hard to communicate in English (or Spanish etc.). Furthermore, we got some pretty bad recommendations. Fairly decent, but certainly not going to return.

We stayed at the Nettuno BB for a weekend break and even though from outside the building seems like an apartment block after taking a ride on a scary lift on the 5th floor there is this nice bb. Very modern and clean, nice rooms and we even had a nice view overlooking the sea. The breakfast was standard, coffee, tea, croissants, bread and jam and it felt like being at home having the owner always checking if we are ok and to give us many many tips about what to do and where to go. It was a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere! Thanks for the great hospitality!

It took us about 30 minutes to find the place since there's no real sign on the street. The automatic gate they have is not automatic so prepare to make a call to have it opened.
The B&B is located on the 5th floor of what appears to be an office building.
However, the interior design and cleanliness is impeccable and was very surprising. The room is small and has a small TV set, the balcony faces the water and a commercial area.
Excellent choice if you're on a budget.
