“Amazing Gelato & Coffee”
Review of Gelateria Amorino

This place does the best gelato we had on our trip around Lake Garda & Verona, along with wonderful coffee.

Considering it's location prices are not too high, and the staff are very friendly in multiple languages - we heard English, German, French, Italian & Spanish whilst enjoying a brief sit down to escape the crowds.

When we visited at 11am it was nice and quiet inside, but by 12:30 when we walked past there was a long queue out the shop and down the road, so be warned!

Sitting at Amorino's drunking a fantastic coffee I started seeing people coming in for ice creams and not just your everyday ice creams. No, they were all oohing aand aaaaahing and then I saw why. The guy behind the counter was making beautiful Rose shaped ice cream cones. Mostly two tone to help give a beautiful tint contrast. So I decided to get one done and I had one made up in Blackcurrant flavour. So I got a gorgeous almost purple rose ice cream nearly too pretty to eat. So if you're in for a special treat, buy yourself a rose shaped ice cream and enjoy the wonderful flavours of the ice creams as well. They have some really not run of the mill flavours

First, the gelato is excellent. The lime and basil sorbet was simply amazing - I would have sworn it was full-cream gelato, and the flavour sublime. Likewise the chocolate sorbet (yes, honestly!)...

Second, the rose concept is fabulous - choose your size and they'll give you as many flavours as they can, all gorgeously presented so you can taste each flavour distinctively, prepared and served with care and charm by the very good staff - they were also very understanding and careful serving my nut-allergic daughter with completely separate tools.

Third, it is more expensive than other places, but IMHO it's better and worth it for the flavours and presentation.

Last, and my only fault, paying up front (before you might have had chance to see all the flavours) then waiting to be served in what is effectively a second queue doesn't work very well for new first-time customers. It did take a long time to get served and wasn't exactly clear how it worked. But I definitely recommend you try this place at least once...

All we know that the gelato in Italy is great, but if it is served in different way you will enjoyed it with your eyes as well. Don't forget to try Nociollini, locally produced treat.

Went there for dessert, and their concept is, that you can select as many flavors as you want, they will then cram it into the size cup you bought. The macarons are really good.
It is a bit on the expensive side though.
