Description: Outstanding food and wine in the heart of Verona”. The leading role at the Caffè Dante has always been played by wine. We have a cellar that few others in the city can boast, with an extremely rich list of international wines, rewarded by Wine Spectator with its prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” and a 2-Glass rating. Our meats come from robust local breeds, raised on and specially selected from sustainable farms. Their tenderness and juicy flavors derive from long, slow maturation/hanging – varying between 30 and 90 days – in a special fridge. The result is delicious, excellent quality meat that just has to be tried! The staff of the historic restaurant in Piazza dei Signori, right in the center of Verona, will guide you through a tasting experience of outstanding wines and food: unique specialties - served at lunch and dinner - or even just a quick bite or aperitivo.

We had one day in Verona, walking all over, trying to see it all. It had rained in the morning, but we persevered. Early afternoon, as we were wondering around, the drizzle started again. We stumbled upon Caffe Dante Bistrot and said: Why not? We were seated quickly by an amazingly efficient Head person. We ordered drinks which arrived quickly, and then some light fare. Everything was tasty and presented well. The wait setaff was well supervised & all patrons were served in a timely manner. We chatted with other couples & everyone agreed. Would definitely return should we return to Verona.

I was looking for a reasonable bistro and tried this.
It was one of those great unexpected experiences, wonderful ravioli with shrimp, perfectly prepared in a delicious sauce.
The service is discreet and courteous.
The Maître d’Hotel even offered me a top ff of Prosecco and fresh chocolate for dessert.
The Dante Square is lovely, real Veronans eat here!

Visited here with my friend and we can't rate it highly enough.

She's recently been diagnosed with intolerances to wheat and dairy (much to her dismay) so you can imagine how tough it is to find suitable meals in Italy - the home of pizza and pasta!

The waiter could not have been more helpful, suggesting suitable meals for her and offering to make her something off-menu with gluten-free pasta - she informs me it was delicious!

I had pasta too, with ham and cheese, and I really enjoyed it.

Wine lovers will rate the extensive menu. I'm afraid we succumbed to Aperol Spitz's (much to the waiter's disappointment). When in Verona...

Good views of the Torre dei Lamberti from outside and a nice spot to sit for lunch.

If we'd been here longer, we'd have gone back. Highly recommend.
