To be fair, we booked on the same day for that evening and were told we would have a table 'not in the garden'...since there didn't appear to be a garden, but rather a nice looking area with greenery overhead, we didn't especially mind. Our table was a horror show of mosquitos!! Right in the far corner, around a corner, it was absolutely the worst table in the house! Still, as I said, we booked last minute....Anyway, the service was brusque but friendly enough - Venetian style! The food was excellent - we both had the monkfish in lime - absolutely delicious. Followed by stuffed cuttlefish - equally delicious. We killed about 15 mosquitos. If that's an issue for you, spray yourself thoroughly and entertain yourselves by counting the hazy marks of corpses on the wall! On the other hand, if you are not in the ABSOLUTELY worse table in the house, you may not notice! That's the reason for the average rating...maybe unfair, but ambience matters and this was not good!! Oh...and by FAR the most expensive meal we've had in our 3 weeks in Venice - and we've been to some very highly rated, fine dining restaurants. Don't go out of your way if not in Castello...Go to Jonny's instead!

We booked the restaurant very last minute but we had luck to secure a inside table. The food were all great, the appetiser tasting was excellent which allows you to have a sip of all sorts of venice fresh seafood. We also tried their homemade black pasta which was also good.
Staff are all very attentive, we feel the restaurant is totally underrated and will definitely come again!

More casual than I expected, the food was terrific. Stick to the fresh fish, though, instead of the pasta. While the appetiser sampler menu is pushed hard, it is not worth it. Pick a few apps and don't miss the spider crab.

I have visited this restaurant before and enjoyed it so I went back without a reservation for a quick dinner. I arrived at 7 pm and told them that I would be away by 8.30 and they were very accommodating. Service was brisk but friendly and the food is invariably excellent, the house wines also were very good. I had smoked sword fish for a starter, linguini with chanterelle mushrooms followed by an excellent lemon rice tart for desert. All the food was well presented and delicious.
