Lovely hotel just outside the gardino papadopoli Just a short walk from the bus station. It is a very quiet location for a city. you will find all the delights of this beautiful city as you walk towards the centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel rooms are beautiful - highly recommended

A+ experience with Hotel Papadopoli! We were treated like guests from the moment we arrived until we left. Antonio was quick to assist with bags and the rest of the front desk staff were awesome, several times taking time to assist us with directions and tips on getting around. Not sure where to start on the breakfast...one of the best we've ever had in the world! Although some of the food (eggs) could have been a touch warmer, the selection was amazing and fresh. The wait staff in the restaurant were responsive and quick to assist with any of our needs.

The room overlooked the canal and was spotless. The bathroom was clean and one of the most powerful showers we've ever experienced. A/C worked great.

Very close to the bus/train station, water ferry, and within walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants.

Overall, awesome experience for us. Highly recommend this property!

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the canal.

We stayed here as a family of 5 for one night in July. We were travelling by train and wanted somewhere not far from the station and at a 10 minute walk (with cases) this was perfect for us. The hotel was very well set out and maintained and also spotless. Everywhere smelt lovely and was well air conditioned which was very welcome due to the heat. We had booked two rooms next to each other and these were beautifully appointed. Our room had a third bed in for our 12 year old son and this was a very comfy proper bed rather than a camp-style bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all slept really well and there was no door banging hotel type noise. We stayed on a room only basis so didn't have breakfast at the hotel but there was a lovely cafe in the square opposite where we all had a delicious breakfast. Would be delighted to stay here again.

Stunning location. One of the only modern exteriors in Venice but with as much old-world luxury and charm as you could want on the inside. Staff were fantastic, drinks at the bar were superb (we unfortunately didn't eat in the restaurant), and the rooms and bathrooms were just magnificent. Everything - from the curtains to the cushions - reeked of decadence and luxury. Then to top it all off, the hotel left a bottle of champagne in the room to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Just wow wow wow - will definitely be returning!

The only very slight negative is the lack of gym and pool. But these are extreme rarities in Venice hotels so were in no way expected.

Two ways for visiting Venice : To stay in the heart of the city near to the San Marco place or to the Rialto bridge. It'll be very crowded once you have left the hotel, even if it's a luxury one. Or to stay a little bit far from the most famous monuments, and to find quietness after a day of site seeing. This will the case at the Papadopoli.
The hotel is very near to the head of the lines 1,2,3 of the Vaporetto (strategic !), and near to very nice Campos were you could find good simple restaurants for authentic Venetian diners. Only 20 min of walk from the Gallerie dell' Academia.
Rooms in the hotel are not very large, but seem to be recently refurbished. Small bathroom. Everything in very good shape, well fitted, in Venetian style, and pleasant. View on the canal is not especially beautiful, but you really feel leaving in Venice.
Very good and large selection of dishes for the breakfast.
All the staff (bar, front desk, house keeping, breakfast) is really kind and helpful.
To conclude a perfect hotel for a quiet stay in Venice.
If you come by car, park at the San Marco parking, at only 5 min on foot.

Room Tip: View on the canal
