It s quite pricey.
The space is small so the building easily gets very crowded.
Collection inside is quite chaotic but specially for the Max Ernst OT is worth a visit. There was also Marini 's sculpture temporary exibiition. Very interesting!
Of course if you are not into modern art - just skip it :)

Thank Hussaria

Modern art gallery. A massive amount in a relatively small area. Loved the simplicity, the collection, and the order. Pretty inspirational. My teenage daughter absolutely loved it as well. Entrance price quite high, but worth it. They do have concessions so take student card etc.... Shop ridiculously overpriced even for a gallery. Nevertheless- the collection superb.

This is devoted to modern painting and sculpture, with enough to keep a general visitor happy without being over-whelmed, but offering a depth and variety to please those with a deeper interest. I loved the sculptures in the grounds, and the light-filled rooms , some of which face the Grand Canal and offer a tantalizing glimpse of a bygone world. Get there early to avoid a long queue, or better still, use the advance booking system on line.

Visited at end of March so probably not as busy at it would in high summer & no queues to get in. (Note:They take large hand bags & rucsacs into a storage room before you enter). Used water bus & got off at Accademia stop.
Amazing collection of modern art in one place which was her home. Allow about an hour (when it's quiet). Small garden with various sculptures. The roof top garden is private tbough.
When we left we had a lovely walk around the quiet streets & canals of Dorsoduro & then walking along the sea path looking towards Guidecca walking round & up to the tip of land (has the best views of St.Marks/ Doges Palace) . You're then close to the Church S.Maria della Salute which is worth visiting.

Visited on a whim, however our experience was very short-lived.

Staff were very pretentious and didn’t speak much English. I wouldn’t say they were very helpful, however we wouldn’t have made much use of them anyway.

The café was ridiculously expensive, however that is to be expected.

Probably wouldn’t recommend as we did not enjoy our trip, however the toilets were very clean and were some of the nicest ones we visited in Venice.

Thank Lucy C
