This is a very busy place with limited outside seating squeezed in next to the main canal, just outside the restaurant and sidewalk. You get a view of the Rialto bridge, but the interest is the canal traffic. A caraffa of house red was 14 euros, spritz for 5 euros, large portion of Risotto Frutti de mare for 17 euros with plenty of seafood. If you can get a seat and take some time this is a good place to soak up Venice.

Incredible location right on the Gran Canal at the foot of the Rialto Bridge. Wait, plead, beg, for a patio table by the water. Simple a wonderful setting (however, if the breeze is from the N.W., the extra canal "ambience" might hinder some). The service was extremely friendly and efficient. The menu was classic Italian and pretty good overall, especially for an obviously tourist oriented restaurant. The setting was just so wonderful with the historic bridge, gondolas, and nice people.
we simply loved this place. Maybe the wine helped also.

The view was nice and I have to say it's a bit of tourist gimmick, you want to eat next to the rialto bridge and enjoy watching the gondola's go by and it's very nice. However some of the chairs are a bit too close to the edge and there is no barrier, i nearly saw one guy fall in. A little expensive but hey it's Venice and being where it is, it's expected. I think the wine was a little overpriced, buy by the bottle though it's cheaper than a glass.

We got a table right on the canal with a view of the bridge undergoing repairs (as with all repair work in Venice, charmingly hidden behind a cover showing a to-scale drawing of the finished repair). Crowded and bustling with effortlessly graceful and efficient waiters bearing delicious food from an impressive menu, this restaurant was perfect. Just a note, Al Buso is not a cafe just for coffee or a beer. We observed others being efficiently and politely ejected.

Great location to enjoy the views and watch the world go by, to enjoy a meal and a drink. How very disappointing, The food was tasteless and not fresh, when we questioned why the food was not fresh, advised by the waiter it's illegal to sell fresh seafood in Venice! What's happened to authentic Italian dishes that we want to experience. The waiter seemed to have a lot of wrong information about how to serve wine, prosecco and food. He was not very helpful with the knowledge of Venice or where to catch a water bus, literally over the bridge! We would not recommend eating here and avoid the restrooms (this should have been an indicator not to eat here)
Shame they have a great location to enjoy but such poor quality.
