The location of this restaurant is right beside the canal and weather permitting nothing nicer than watching the gondoliers go by as you sip a glass of wine and enjoy a nice meal.. A lovely family run restaurant and a very friendly girl who served us.. Ate here two evenings and the first night was very busy with Italian families and children which is lovely to see and created a nice local buzz.. we particularly enjoyed the spaghetti vongole, the spaghetti marinara and grilled sea bass.. service excellent and prices good value

The rain had fallen all day, the waters were rising and the city's main flood alarm had sounded for the first time in 10 years. We had dinner booked and headed out with our knee high waders. The water was 10 inches deep on the path outside the restaurant, the flood boards were in place and the lights were on. We got the warmest of welcomes from the waiters and the owner, decked out in boots and waders. They had opened because we had booked, what commitment! The service was fast and efficient, the food quality very high, the portion sizes generous, especially the meat platter and the wine selection varied and interesting. The prices were also very reasonable. Well worth visiting these lovely people at this very nice restaurant. We will certainly return.

We arrived here on a weekday evening. The restaurant full with what appeared to be some sort of group booking for a celebration or meeting. We were found a table and enjoyed a lovely Italian atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious sea food!

Just been reading about the horrors of da Luca in Venice. I know it's too late for you poor people who were ripped off by these crooks, but can I reccomend a very good restaurant called al Vagon. If you head for the Rialto Bridge and then pass ahead to Rio Apostoli, then turn right along the Rio, you'll see al Vagon just around the corner.
Not only recommended by me but by Clive James in his books!
