on a dreary january venice night we got lost and stumbled upon this hidden gem. right from trying to get into the restaurant, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, my mother is in a wheelchair, which barely fit trough the entrance door. they continued to be wonderful and attentive during the whole, joyous evening. the restaurant is incredibly beautiful with a wonderful courtyard, we would love to come back to during the warmer season. the food was just perfect from the antipasti beginning to the dolci end, crowned by one of the best grappas we ever enjoyed. the only thing we wished for is a selection of wines by the glass. the wine list is wonderful, which we would have loved to enjoy at least some of them by the glass. they offer a half bottle of house wine, which is good, but not super exciting. that said, we can not wait to be back !!!

It was our second visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant is exceptional: it makes a big difference after a noisy day in Venice, original decorations.
The food is very traditional, fresh and tasty. The service is very professional: we had a water, which spoke four languages and was very attentive to our demands and needs.
Congratulations to this establishment with such a high level of customer service!

We first stumbled on this restaurant on our first trip to Venice in Nov 2016, we were made so welcoming and the food was delicious. On our second trip with friends we visited again and were not disappointed. It is hidden in a maze of passages and on the second visit we spent a long time trying to find it as we couldn't remember its name and only had a picture of the monk on the wall to go by and we had to ask at several hotels if they knew it.. Finally finding it we had a good meal and it was worth the hunt. All 4 of us enjoyed what we had and even the fussiest of eaters would find something on the menu to their taste. The wine and aperitifs were excellent, we were even given a small box of biscuits as a thank you on the way out...
We will definitely be going back here on our next visit to Venice

A graceful, olde-world style restaurant with attentive and charming staff, serving good food: the seafood tagliolini was superb.
Prices were not over the top and the service was faultless.
Recommended.

We saw 2017 'out' and 2018 'in' at Antica. It was warm, friendly, very busy and a totally enjoyable experience.
Our eating was timed to perfection, allowing us to walk to St Marc's Square, see the crowds and the fireworks.
As ever, all of the staff made us welcome, the service was excellent and I could not see an empty table, so all ' behind the scenes' must have been working very hard to maintain such a high level of professionalism.
Each course and dish was beautifully prepared and Pino ' conducted' the evening with his normal quiet, re-assuring style and the place really ' buzzed' - nicely.
Thanks to Pino and all at Antica
