The Sina Centurion Palace in located in Dorsoduro, on the opposite side of San Marco which is an advantage : less crowd, beautiful view on the Grand Canal and it's still very easy to cross the water by traghetto (beware it closes at 5PM) or vaporetto (stop Salute, line 1) nearby.
The hotel has a U shape with one side directly on the grand Canal with a terrace and a dock for watertaxis and a patio in the back that must be very pleasant in summer.
There's also a pedestrian entrance through the patio.
The service is perfect. The concierges will arrange everything for you : private guide, restaurant reservations, watertaxi, concerts tickets... They're all very helpfull, efficient and nice.
The rooms are decorated in a beautiful Italian contemporary way with great colours and fantastic golden bathrooms.
The rooms on the Grand Canal have an amazing view and high ceiling.
The rooms overlooking the patio are also very pleasant.
Although you are in an historical building the soundproofing is perfect.
The breakfast takes place in the bar and the restaurant overlooking the Grand Canal. It's very good, the service is fast and charming.
Do not miss their fantastic capuccino !
For diner, if you're too tired to go out dining, order a hot chocolate with cakes in your room : fantastic.
It was a great stay, and we'll return !More
