Took a sail to Torcello on a beautiful late summer's day and sat outside for lunch. I had a large plate of vongole and my friend had fish soup to die for. Another had spider crab, all excellent. Very attentive staff, who put up an umbrella willingly to give us some shade.

Along the walkway between the vaparerto stop on Torcello and the Basilica are three or four restaurants. All offer outdoor seating, under cover. Al Trono di Attila is the most attractive and offers a full menu. We stopped in for lunch. We shared fried calamari and a salad, and had wine and aperol. The calamari was fresh, dry (as in not greasy) and lightly salted. It is the best we have had in a long time. The setting offers shade and a nice garden view, or view of the path where you can watch the local world go by. It makes for an unhurried lunch. Good service. Lunch for two came to 36€. We would not hesitate to stop by again if we ever found ourselves revisiting Torcello.

Every year we visit this place. It is off-the-road of the many tourists visiting essentially Burano and not always Torcello. The mixed grill is still as delicious as before. Waiting for you there !

This is a real gem in the beautiful island of Torcello on the outer edge of the Venice lagoon. The island is tranquil and not mobbed like Murano/Burano and this ristorante has a lovely ambience, beautiful garden and great food. Try the baked crab, which is a meal in itself, and the spaghetti al ragu was the best I have ever tasted. Very good service and reasonably priced for Venice. We will be back!

We came to Torcello by tour and only had 45 minutes to visit. We stopped here and noticed pretty gardens toward the back of the place. they allowed us to sit there. We ordered beer and wine and they brought snacks to eat with our drinks. Setting was very comfortable and relaxing. We wished we could have stayed for a longer lunch. A young lady was our server and she was excellent.
