Hotel was close to Metro which was a plus and the room with two beds was perfect for our two day stay and we used the restaurant a couple of times due to getting sick while traveling and the food was very good. Only issue we had was the internet was limited at working i.e. wouldn’t let us log in or we would be kicked out of it after a short period of time. Otherwise enjoyed our stay!
We are currently in our ‘superior’ room! Nothing is as paid for apart from there is the right number of beds.
The room is very stuffy and the air conditioning is switched off. When we phoned reception we were told there is no air conditioning anywhere in Milan in April! Told to open a window in a noisy and rainy city!
None of the facilities paid for are in the room and when we asked at reception they said they do not offer these services (coffee maker etc) but the website does!
The WiFi doesn’t work. Told by reception that it does (I have pictures to prove it but they aren’t that interesting). It doesn’t.
It is like a terrible youth hostel run by rude people. Superior room over 100 euros!
If it isn’t too late book somewhere else!
The staff at this hotel are amazing! Very helpful and friendly. The room we were was ok. The bathroom had problems: no water pressure at all (reported and solved quickly), the part underneath the shower kept falling off, and during the night and in the morning a very loud noise of water running coming from the bathroom ceiling. The restaurant (Ibis kitchen) was ok - we had the pizza but the tiramisu was the worst ever. We couldn't finish it (we sent it back). The hotel has a construction site next to it that makes it very noise in the morning.
Great hotel, centrally situated! Easy access to train station & bus station. Clean hotel with beautiful continental & English breakfast. Vegan friendly section. Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable room.
one more time in ibis milano centro..i wrote again over the years since 2010 when was my first stay....really they have improved many things and the reception service and breakfast is really great..rooms are typical ibis rooms .nothing more than you expect of an ibis.thhey also renovated some of the rooms and where really great when i stayed as a silver member of accor hotels.its a good choice hotel near to buenos aires shopping street and near to repubblica metro of milano station..and all are so close by feet.
When you first arrive from the central station it's not a superb experience . Then in the morning I walked in the other direction where you have many tram on the main avenue as well as Metro station "republicca" . You can also walk across the Montanelli Park which i did , and with 15 min of a very enjoyable walk I was in the Brera district . From there you are in the heart of the historic Milan.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful at reception but also at the bar and at the restaurant .
I took breakfast on the first day and found it quite acceptable for decent price of 9 euros .
My room was OK .
The only problem I had was the wait to get the lift each time I wanted to.
Overall a good choice for Milan if you need access to central station for various buses including to the airport or trains .
