We had the great pleasure of travelling from Milan to St. Moritz with the owner of the company, Adrian. We reached out to a few different companies, and found out most of them were merely brokers who outsourced the services from the UK. Adrian is local to Milan and a hospitality industry veteran who was our point of contact throughout. He was friendly, informative, and prompt in his replies to our e-mails and our calls via Skype! We had a small baby and lots of luggage, and accommodated us with a large Mercedes van for the 3-hour trip each way. Travelling by private car only ended up being a couple hundred dollars more than taking a train, and it offered far more convenience and flexibility for when we wanted to leave each destination. We will definitely be using Adrian and his company again, whether a point-to-point service, or merely for a day trip to other parts of the region...I believe he travels throughout Italy, and parts of Switzerland, France, and Germany. My wife and I recently went to Milan, Cinque Terre, and Lake Como, Italy for our trip. We used 3 different private transfers. The best one was Milano by car operated by Mr. Adrian. Our trip with Adrian was from Tremezzo to Milan with a stop at a village/town Como. We liked him so much that I booked our transfer with him from Milan to the Milan airport Malpense. OH MY GOSH! I cannot speak enough of how personal the man is and his driving skills are amazing. Here are the facts. Initially, I called the same transfer company that I used for my transfer from Cinque Terre to Bellagio, Como, but they couldn’t guarantee my transfer, because of the short notice, and they wanted me to pay in full upfront. We had a change in our travel plan so I called them first because I was familiar with them. Honestly, I was somewhat irritated by the fact that they wanted me to pay upfront when they can’t even guarantee my transfer. They should have a record of how I paid their previous driver with a generous tip in cash. Any ways, I called Adrian the day before my departure from Tremezzo to Milan and he picked up the phone and was so pleasant and assuring that he will be there to pick us up. He also decided to upgrade from the Mercedes sedan to the Mercedes van without additional charges after I told him that the previous company used the Mercedes station wagon to transfer us. We had 2 checked in and 2 carry on luggages. He did it out of his own heart to make sure that we are comfortable for our ride and there are enough spaces for our luggages. We never ask for the upgrade. By the way, he drives us to the airport later using the luxury Mercedes sedan and the luggages fitted fine within the trunk. He was a hotel concierge for many years before starting his own limousine business. He surely knows how to treat his guesses. He is very knowledgeable in different parts of Italy. He speaks Fluent English, Italian, French, Spanish, and some German. He would explained different parts of the lake and towns along the drive. We didn’t get these informations from the two previous companies. I think it was due to the lack of their English ability. The best parts were he was so engaging with us that he made us laughed talking about life and we really felt safe. He didn’t drive as fast as the otber companies. He allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenic views that Italy has to offer. And with his calm, gentle, and humorous voice, we were able to take it all in and really appreciate the beautiful Italy. Thanks to his detailed descriptions of things to do in Como, we were able to decide what we wanted to do at our Como stop. He was very flexible with the wait time and would only charge us for whatever wait time we used. He also used whatups app to check in with us after 2 hours to see if we were ok. Before letting us venture on our own, he walked us around and showed us the general areas and the specific land marks to help us navigate back to where he would be waiting. He would have come with us, but he wanted to stay with the car because of our luggages. After Como, he then drive us to our hotel in Milan and he would drive around the hotel to show us where everything is before dropping us at the front of our hotel. We enjoyed our trip with him so much that we booked our next transfer with him from the hotel to the airport. Again, our last ride was as enjoyable as our first ride with him. This is why he is different from the others. He pulled our luggages inside the airport and showed us where things are, and VAT tax refund center if we need to go there. The big bonus is that his rate is lower than the previous company that I used. Adrian, thank you so much for helping to make my trip such a memorable trip. We enjoyed all the places that you recommended us to go and visit. We will definitely call you again for our next trip there.
