Actually this is a private house which offers rooms but not a hotel. It is situated on a very steep street and it is poorly designated. We reached it via the GPS coordinates given in the site. There is no reception desk! The lift was packed with rubbish and it does not work. When I opened the door a dog barked at me. There was a stale odor probably due to the dog. The room was with old furniture but acceptable. The biggest problem came with the parking place. The yard in front of the house is shared between the neighbors and we had to park in front of the entrance door on a limited space. Since our car is bigger it was impossible. Even if it was possible that meant a complete block of the entrance so that nobody could get in or out. The whole process of perspiration took about 15 minutes when my husband gave up. I repacked our luggage and left the place.
Trieste is an expensive city but it is better spend 10-15 more Euros and find a real hotel.

Room Tip: Definitely hotel Valeria in Villa Opicina.
