The entrance fees to Vatican Museums are included in the omnia card. When walking through, make sure to look up at the gorgeous, ornate ceilings. It is a long walk through the museums but at the end, you’ll reach the Sistine Chapel. It is definitely worth spending a few hours here!

Im not religious, but this is a must. Architecture and history are amazing and very interesting. Guides were very knowledgeable and made it very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend it.

I hated this museum. First, it doesn’t follow any normal museum narrative - you can’t tell where you are going to in historical progression. It feels more like a palace, with art randomly displayed. There is no crowd control, no staff and tourists push each other relentlessly. Everyone wants to get to the Sixtine chapel, and it’s a complete waste of time to try and see anything as your guides take up all the space. I am never coming back!

Great place with everything you would expect so no need to focus on that. However be warned about two things that can ruin your visit...
First the bull of a early tour to get in before they are open to the public, the truth is they allow so many tour groups to book these we stood out in the rain for almost 40 minutes in a line of thousands!! I admit 3 or 4 thousand people are less that later in the morning but this is not what I was expecting and was not worth it for us.
Second, if you have a child in stroller just do not go, period. The guide will not accommodate you and the place has hundreds of steps to go up and down everywhere with few lifts that do not follow any travel pattern and many of the staff there do not even know where they are! They will all take your money though.

I only wish someone had told me these things before we made plans and went!

I think this is a deterrent to house the large crowds from the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica. It was ok, but not as impressive as hoped. Doubt if I would ever go back a second time, now that I have already seen it once.
