A very quiet, but beautiful church. Was impressed by the altar and the cupola that seemed huge, high up there. Might been some optical aspects by that sensation. History has it the church was finished 1616 and in subsequent centuries the parish and adjacent buildings served as a hospice and hospital for pilgrims and poor.

This church is nearby more famous attractions and we almost overlooked it. It is a very special place as the mess is still held in Latin. Also the artwork is notable.

One interesting point regarding the lighting: in September around 1400 the sun cast a ray of light that looks like a painting (see picture) this also offers the opportunity for the ultimate enlightenment picture for the brave tourist who dare to knee on the last bench on the right.

This church is run by the FSSP. They offer exclusively the Latin mass. A beautiful church. If you want to attend the Latin mass in Roma, this is the place.

This church was near the apartment we had rented and after passing by numerous times we ventured inside. We were immediately taken with the beauty of this church as it was ornate without being showy. I could imagine a working class community enjoying and celebrating Catholic mass at this respectable pillar of the community.
