Just next to the original Forum Romanum, this Forum built by Iulius Ceasar has nto survived the turmoil of the two millennia after being built. It was built as an expansion of the old Roman Forum and housed two temples - one of Venus, the predecessor of Caesar's family, and of Caesar himself. Visited April 2017

The Forum of Caesar was built or initiated to be built by Caesar in 46BC, making it over two thousand years old. Without a knowledge of the history this place is just ruins, so read a book about Roman life or hire guide or take audio tour, that way the old stories from the past wake. Consider light show in the evening. The forum or plaza was 160mx75m making it very big that time and used for different purposes.
Visit ancient times.

The night show in Caesar’s Forum was one of our favorite things. On a warm Roman evening, the presentation was interesting and the music and lights were magical. Buy tickets ahead.

Little is left of the Foro, but the amazing light show the past comes alive.
The show runs throughout the year at €15 including headset.
Statue of Ceasar stands outside on the street.

Though not much is left, minus one solid three column marble structure, history buffs like me need to visit and envision how this looked at the time of Caesar himself. Additionally, a statue of the leader can be found in front of it.
