Had the Rolling Stones sandwich. The porchetta was quite tasty, the toppings were good, and the bread was just okay. Considering what else you can find in Rome, I'd expect a bigger or better sandwich for the price.

The Blues Brothers sandwich is unreal, as is the donkey burger. The price is a tad steep for what you get, but if you are a student you get a free drink with your sandwich.

If you want and okay sandwich you can get it here. And okay place to get take away. They have a large selection of sandwiches, so everybody should be able to find something they like.

Located in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome, Donkey Punch is a small and quirky sandwich shop which happens to serve outstanding food, coupled with a very solid Italian craft beer bottle selection. The highlight here is the porchetta sandwich … which was absolutely delicious. This is more of a take-out place as there is only seating for about 5 people.
The sandwich options are immense … probably about 20 different types of sandwiches … but like I said, the prochetta is the main attraction.
Knocking off one star due to aloof and slow service … coupled with high prices. For the money we paid (about 8 euro per sandwich), there really wasn’t much meat on it – definitely could be a better value for the money.

We stay in Trastevere at least once a year, and have become obsessed with this place. We've even adjusted our whole eating "strategy" so as to have enough room to indulge in one of these delicious porchetta sandwiches (at least 2 or 3 times each trip!) "Rolling Stone" is the way to go, every time, no question (I think you'd be crazy to get a sandwich that didn't have porchetta, but to each their own...) Great artisanal beer selection. See you next year!
