We felt very welcomed into this lovely small hotel run by the Briggitine sisters. It was clean, furnished well and the roof terrace was a lovely place to relax.
Breakfast was simple.bread roll, meat cheese, jam and butter, yogurt and eggs, juice, tea or coffee and a simple cereal. As it was Easter we also had some Easter cakes and chocolate if we wanted it .So plenty to eat if not very varied. It would be lovely if there was more fruit available and maybe a couple of other cereals.
The location on the piazza Farnese is very central and there are multiple eating places on the campo Di fiori, and the Corso Victorio Emmanuelle II as well as surrounding roads. Buses can be obtained very easily on the corso. 15 minute walk to Vatican City and close to the Trastavere area of Rome too.
I stayed last year in a local 4 star hotel similar in price that wasn’t nearly as nice.
You won’t get tv in your room, but you will get peace and quiet and although this time I was with family I’d be really happy staying here on my own,it’s really secure.
It isn’t a cheap alternative because it’s a convent it’s priced according to location in prime location in Rome.
Only thing I’d recommend to the sisters is to get computerised room booking and check out. It would help record keeping.
Will definitely go again.
