We enjoyed the walk here at night. Seeing the ruins illuminated really made it a beautiful sight. We came during the day- but returned for an evening view. It was much bigger than I thought! Take your time to see everything the site has. You can’t go down and explore- only from street level can you observe it.

Very cool stuff. Great photos. Beautiful warm sunny day during Holy Week. Free admission with Roma Pass (OMNIA).

Take time out to really experience and visit the forum and the hills. Take the audioguide and follow the map/numbers. It's really really a must do.

I was fascinated by all of the ruins but twisted my ankle on the steps. I am an archeologist and vistited Rome for fun... I love seeing the forum. I twisted my right ankle and because of it couldn’t go on a dig trip in Argentina.

I recommend booting-up on your history before walking the forum - just so you know what you're looking at; or take a tour. Make sure to visit the Renaissance gardens up on Pallatine Hill and see the view of the forum from that perspective.
