We came here just to get gelato and it ended up being some of the most delicious gelato we had during our entire trip. The men who worked there were pretty rude, but we didn't sit down so it didn't really matter. The walnut fig gelato is INCREDIBLE. If you want good gelato, this is definitely worth the trip!

This is a very charming restaurant/cafe with many tables outside, in the middle of Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina.

Nice setting for drinks (I had an Aperol Spritz) and a light lunch. I ordered a tortellini carbonara. The carbonara sauce was good, but I had to send the order back to the kitchen because the inside of the pasta was frozen... In addition to that, the portions are really small.

One of the best ice creams I have had in Rome. They are handmade and there are so many flavors to choose from.
This very nice, old charm cafe and ice cream parlor is famous all over the world and has a great outdoor seating in one of the most beautiful and quiet squares of the city, Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina, just behind the Italian Parliament building.
Some people complain that it is expensive: if you like to enjoy your ice cream sitting at the tables outside in the square, it's obviously more expensive than having it directly at the counter.
The texture of the ice cream is smooth and velvety, and their traditional recipe uses only organic milk and eggs and natural ingredients. My favourite is marron glacés, chestnut flavour with pieces of chewy, candied chestnut throughout, and dark chocolate.
If you are looking for the best ice cream in Rome, add this one at the top of your list.
