As a solo traveller, I stayed in a shared room for six people. Because it was low season, there were only a max of three guests (including myself) over the three nights I was there. This was nice as it meant we had ample space.
The room I was in had two bunk beds (metal), two single wooden beds, two (or two and a half) large wardrobes (you have to use your own lock) and a dressing table with mirror. All guests got to pick the bed they wanted.
Pros:
- Everything was just like a hotel. The lobby, the service and staff at the front desk.
- There were couches outside the room and in the lobby where guests can sit for a chat.
- Nice bathroom with bathtub and toiletries provided.
- Daily cleaning service.
Cons:
- The room had no windows, which meant it got really stuffy, both at night when were we sleeping, and after someone's had a hot shower. At times, I had to open the front door to air the room, and blast the oversized fan for a few seconds to get the stale air out.
- I don't believe two wardrobes would be sufficient for six people during high season, unless they were in groups and were happy to share a wardrobe using the same lock, and everyone was travelling without big luggages.
All in all, I feel it is a great option for that price, and would definitely stay again,
