I booked in August 2016 for a four day bed and breakfast break here in mid-January for my husband's birthday - we last stayed here nearly 20 years ago! So we knew how central the location is and, once again, had a view from our room of the Palau Guell opposite. The room was not huge, but clean and comfortable and had a tiny balcony from the French windows, from where you could see La Rambla. It was good to have a bath that wasn't shallow and short, like some, and complimentary toiletries were welcome as we travelled with hand luggage. The walls were a bit thin, as neighbours' conversation and occasional singing was sometimes heard, especially when the bathroom vent was open - but it was not a huge disturbance. Breakfast in the basement is self service with staff around to take room numbers, refresh the buffet tables and help if needed. On checking in, the friendly and efficient staff had given us the code to access the rooftop bar, and we went up to take photographs of the stunning views, both in the day and at night. Although out of peak season, there was a facility for getting a drink - from a vending machine - and a call button for service from the hotel bar, which presumably gets a lot of use when the weather is good. As a fan of old fashioned print books, I was grateful to see that on most of the landings, there was a small assortment of books in various languages, for guests to 'swap' and when I finished my paperback on day two, that's what I did. Would happily stay at Hotel Gaudi again.

This hotel is brilliantly located for a city break. Situated right next to Las Ramblas it's a great starting point for all site seeing. Metro stations are also nearby for further exploring.
Our room was small, but clean and comfy.
We would definitely stay here again on further visits!

Really central location, only 2 minute walk from the metro. Rooms are basic but being enough. Breakfast was included in our rate and they really looked after one of us who is ceoliac. The price was very good. Bar is quiet but the cocktails were really good!!

This is the second time we have visited this hotel in 3 months. The location is excellent being only a minute walk to La Rambla but also quiet at night. Right opposite Palau Guell; some of the rooms look directly onto its Gaudi designed roof top. Short walk to the Gothic Quarter which is the best part of Barcelona and metro stations are nearby which will get you to Sagrada Familia should you want to fight with massive amounts of other tourists. The Paralel metro station is about 5 minutes walk which has a funicular railway to get you to Montjuic cable car (both are disabled accessible). There is a roof top terrace with great views and a VERY small pool (don't expect to swim in it ) The reception staff are friendly as are the staff in the breakfast room. It is possible to get a deal with breakfast included which is worthwhile, unlike some other Barcelona hotels. There are lots of places for breakfast if you don't choose to do this. The hotel is disabled accessible. We had room 419 which is large with a big enough bathroom. The lifts are a little small but my partner's wheelchair fitted fine. The roof is accessible with help, there is one steep step. Go it's great.

Room tip: Floor 6(top) only has 2 rooms but door to roof terrace is on that floor Floor 4 is fine. You can ask for a room overlooking Palau Guell.
