All Plaza Mayor seem to be totally different! This one is quite large and they were getting it set up for Holy Week (semana santa) Celebrations when we were there, so there was a lot of heras fencing in evidence and access was somewhat limited. There are a lot of bars and restaurants and the town hall was amazing in that it is very modern. At the other end of the square is a clock with animated figures of Don Quixote, Sancho Panza and Cervantes that come out of doors onto a balcony at certain hours - well 1 p.m. at least as we saw them then!
