A little away from the touristic routes and no sun terrace are the best place to consume some sweet delights in Palma. Also the furniture and the decoration is worth to see. Go there and enjoy the bakery they offer.

This is a must visit in Palma. It was open in 1700 so it is considered the oldest bakery and ice cream shop in Palma. The interior design maintains the character and the style from the original shop.
The founder started the business bringing snow from the mountains to Palma and decided to mix it with juice to sell the first smoothie in the city. Today it is well know for its ensaimadas, cuartos, cocas and hot chocolate but also for its ice creams, particularly almond and chocolate.

Had what I would describe as the lightest cake in the world here recently; it is called a « cuatro » and you must be careful not to let it blow away if someone opens the door!. That hot chocolate and three teas, plus a meat and pea pie came to Euros 11. A bargain!

Well, I am a regular every time I go to Majorca. Their ensaimadas are the best in the island and you can take them to your hotel if you want. Every thing is homemade. Their ice cream is unique.

Definetly you must try a chocolate with coca de patata.

We'll be back

We knew what we were getting and surely got it. This place has been around since 1700 or so, and does not make concessions of any kind. No tourist many, no full English breakfast but food the locals like to have for breakfast. It might not be what you want for breakfast but have to appreciate their chosen line.

We had coffees and various pies (oddly served cold) and ensaimadas - with chocolate while perusing the beautiful interior and the locals popping into to pick their made-to-order pizza-sized ensaimadas in a box.

Very rustic, honest and true to its roots. Have to give that to them. Just make sure you do not expect your ordinary breakfast menu here.

Absolutely worth a visit.
