Just returned from a week in Seville. Stayed at the Hotel Monte Carmelo which is a lovely small hotel in the residential district just across the river from Seville centre.
Close to a pedestrian area which had lots of families out in the evenings and always felt safe. About 10-15 min walk to the Cathedral and within walking distance of the major tourist attractions.
Good sized room with minibar and safe. Very quiet - could not hear any street noise.
The staff were very enthusiatic and hard working and always willing to help. Not a major chain and their offer of free breakfast for 3+ days was authentic and their room rates were cheaper than any of the comparison sites we tried.
Breakfast was OK but would have liked a larger choice of cereals but for a city hotel it was adequate - no need to leave hungry for your city excursions.
Most restaurants in the area don't open before 8pm so we went into the city for our evening meals.More
