This very central hotel is in serious need of renovation. Although it is very well located, the staff is nice, it is seriously overpriced and not deserving of 4*. The rooms are falling apart with water leakage all over the walls. The bathroom is also falling apart. The shower head doesn't hold and you can hear word by word conversations from next door guests. Also most of the toilet flushes seem to work properly. The breakfast is very diversified but there are barely any alternatives for vegan. The restaurant is very disorganized and the food is very bad and blend. I was there for a conference and I could hear better the noise coming from the kitchen (located next door and without a sealed door) or the noise from the cars passing on the street. The WiFi connection is also bad and keeps breaking. For the same price you might as well stay on a hostel or an apartment. Will not stay there again

This place is old and not well maintained. The rooms are dingy and not very appealing. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbors say or do. I woke up to an alarm; thinking it was my phone I got up only to realize the sound was coming from the neighbor’s room. And to top it off the room was extremely warm and has no way to turn off the heat. I was sweating and ended up having to sleep with the windows wide open to cool off the room. We were there in March during some cool rainy weather. Overall it was an unpleasant experience.

You couldn't get much closer without being inside the Old City. Great rooms, the best breakfast of all the hotels in Spain we stayed at, all for a reasonable price! Certainly an "older style" hotel, but we didn't experience any downside because of the age of the hotel!

Some people seem to feel this is not up to the standard of a 4star hotel. At about £30 a night for a double room with breakfast thats cheap for a 2star hotel. It is a large building and obviously not new but has been renovated to a good standard. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast the standard fare.
To get to the city centre take a C3 bus which follows a circular inner route. If you are feeling adventurous cross the road and walk through the old city to the centre.
The hotel even looks 5star when lit up at night.

This hotel is at the edge of the old quarter and perhaps about half an hour walk to the main attractions. It’s a nice looking hotel though with furnishing and decor with a hint of luxury and old world charm. Our room was of average size but the toilet was quite small. Cleanliness and maintenance was good, everything was functional although wifi speeds were slow. Breakfast was in a large dining room with a good selection of food. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but a comfortable stay.
