LOCATION, on a busy and noisy street (2x2 lanes of traffic and public transportation/tram in the middle), residential aera not located in the center , 3/4 tram stops to get there (Kö, Altstadt...).
Parking is a nightmare (some parking places available in a nearby "Parkhaus" )

NO elevator (small and steep staircase, 70 steps to third floor!)

NO mini bar and no safe in our room :(

NO wifi in our room :(

Bad water pressure in the shower :(

Shared tables!? for breakfast :(

The real highlight of our stay was the friendly and service oriented "BF lady" (Mrs Böttcher?), she was hospitable and took care of her guests :))
Quality of the BF was also very good :))

Room Tip: Remember that you don't have an elevator! Not a room on the third floor!Noisy street in front of the hotel.

With 'pünklichkeit' the staff was rather on the tough side, especially the male receptionist.
All the rest worked out well, and we had a not short stay.
Note: there is no elevator, but they help with the luggage.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this completely affordable little hotel with the most adorable bedrooms and the most accommodating staff! The rooms are beautiful (Mine was Room 18 overlooking the main road, but that means with lots of sunshine!) I was allowed to check in early as the room was ready and I found little chocolates on my bed and a welcome note from the staff. The breakfast is great. The beds and sheets extremely comfortable. The U-bahn station is right outside to get anywhere you want to in the city and the S-bahn station is also across the street bringing you to the airport in less than 15 minutes. I highly recommend this hotel! It's just perfect!

Room Tip: I liked my room facing the main road because it is very sunny, but the rooms in the back facing the garden are probably quieter.

We were last in Dusseldorf 14 years ago and stayed in a larger more impersonal hotel.
This time we returned with school friends to catch up and also for my wife to revisit old haunts from her time as an au pair in the 70's.
The entire trip was a success as all the travel arrangements went on time and this hotel was spectacularly good .
The situation was perfect to walk into the centre. The rooms ( 422 and 427 ) were clean comfortable and well decorated.
The staff were faultlessly friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were superb.
Everything about this hotel is well managed. They know how to provide friendly comfort without overdoing it.

Room Tip: We read other reviews and asked not to be placed in the ground floor and our wish was accommodated

Great stuff and hotel!
Liked everything about it. Had an amazing large room with personal exit to inter-garden.
Old-fashioned hotel and historic looking hotel.
Very friendly and warm welcome stuff.
If we go back to Düsseldorf will definitely choose this hotel.
Very low price for such a hotel, we were reply surprised
