We had an incredible experience with Max and Chris - two of the kindest and most knowledgable hospitality professionals we’ve ever encountered. While the food was delicious, delicate, honest and regionally-influenced, the true standout was the wine pairing. You could argue that the food was a means of showcasing the wine (gasp), but one wouldn’t work without the other; they were powerfully choreographed to make you smile. While we tried hard to leverage our nominal German, English was effortless for the entire staff. Oh... and the carts!!! It started with a Krug champagne cart and a bread cart. Later a (custom-made Christofle) cheese cart rolled out, and the meal concluded with a towering dessert cart. I’m hard-pressed to come up something negative to say, but to retain a semblance of critical objectivity, I’d say the desserts were the weakest course. Luckily, at that point in the meal, you’re so satiated and happy that it just fades into the background. Bravo!
