We had an incredible experience with Max and Chris - two of the kindest and most knowledgable hospitality professionals we’ve ever encountered. While the food was delicious, delicate, honest and regionally-influenced, the true standout was the wine pairing. You could argue that the food was a means of showcasing the wine (gasp), but one wouldn’t work without the other; they were powerfully choreographed to make you smile. While we tried hard to leverage our nominal German, English was effortless for the entire staff. Oh... and the carts!!! It started with a Krug champagne cart and a bread cart. Later a (custom-made Christofle) cheese cart rolled out, and the meal concluded with a towering dessert cart. I’m hard-pressed to come up something negative to say, but to retain a semblance of critical objectivity, I’d say the desserts were the weakest course. Luckily, at that point in the meal, you’re so satiated and happy that it just fades into the background. Bravo!

This restaurant is situated about 30 min by car north of Hamburg. But it was worth the trip. It is on a hill looking over the Elbe. A round room with tasteful furnitures. Very good service and excellent food! Worth the 2 stars!

the problem with a lot of 2 star michelin places are that the FOOD is not that great ....here you have a great location with a giant waterview, very good service and the obligatory bread wagon and the cheese wagon and the petite four wagon..... and all the plates look fantastic ...but the actual taste is okay and only 2 out of 7 courses were really really outstanding .....so of course we are talking here about the top 2% of restaurants and you spend 250 euro a person ..... but for a 2 star it doesnt convinced completly and is far away from any 3 star i ate.

This was probably the best dinner I ever had. I had seen many highly decorated places, but never before have the expectations been exceeded lit at Seven Seas. I won't write about the food, s it was just for a different world in all aspects.
Service was extremly attentive and friendly.
Except for one bottle, we did leave the selection of the wines to the sommelier and have been extremly happy with his choices.
