As you'd expect, this tour isn't the most pleasant but is definitely something you must experience.
We met our tour guide Richard next to the central station and, after some transport difficulty, made our way to Oranienburg, the town next to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
Once we arrived we had a short walk to the entrance of the camp along which Richard explained the significance of the camp as the centre of operations for all camps throughout Germany and surrounding countries. Throughout the tour our guide kept things informative and relatively upbeat as it is quite easy to allow this place to become depressing. There is plenty to look at when there and you come away feeling like you experienced something very important.
Would highly recommend this company for the tour as the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and they made the tour far more extensive than if we had gone on our own.
