Generally, I like staying at Holiday Inn as you can expect an appropriatly high level quality for a business hotel.
This one's location is great: directly at Alexanderplatz it's easy to get anywhere. Other than that: the usual. However, in most Holiday Inns (including this one) beds are incredibly hard and even the pillows really uncomfortable these days. For me that's a good reason to start looking for alternatives.

Perfect location, 5 min walk from the Train Station and very close to all the attractions of the city center. Many bars and restaurants nearby. Nice silent and clean room. Confortable beds and lots of natural light. Very friendly staff and a lovely free tea/coffee in room .

Looks more like an Airport Hotel, very basic hospitality, basic room aminities, basic breakfast (and busy) basic facilities and service, the location is the hit, location location location, but this is not enough for me to reconsider. Is just a sleeping place and the morning breackfast is a mess of low quality.

We are IHG Platinum members so tend to stay at Holiday Inns worldwide and have come to expect some 'perks and class of rooms and service". Given that, this hotel lacks on all fronts.

From TXL airport if you take the bus and get off at the last stop - Alexanderplatz, walk to towards the main intersection which is a large 2 way street. Make a right once you cross the street (you will see the Park Inn on the Left hand side). The hotel is behind the FitX Fitness Gym. Our GPS took us on a longer roundabout way so don't rely on that. The Hotel is close to an Ibis and Indigo hotels. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel. The hop on/off buses leave from the main street close to the Park Inn as well as on the side street of the plaza.

Checkin was slow. We had requested early checkin but the room was not ready (even though it was noon) so we left our luggage and went for a bit in the plaza where there is ample choice of restaurants and pubs. We got our room closer to 2:30pm which was not 'early checkin'. The front desk person lacked PR skills and was borderline rude. We were given a room on the 7th floor.

The room was a good size with a tiny table and a sofa chair. the room overlooked the main street so offered a good view. Bathroom was ok size however it had a bathtub which was quite high to get in and out of and the shower water tended to spill out due to the design on the glass wall. There was a tea/coffee service but no other amenities. We never ate at their restaurant but did have a drink at their bar which is really in the Indigo hotel next door. Service was overall mediocre but was ok for a short stay.

Room tip: high floor overlooking the TV Tower.

Dear Texas06,
thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on your stay as an IHG Platinum Member.
I was very sorry to read about your experience which did not meet your expectations and does not reflect our standards at all. Rest assured we shared your feedback within our team and again sensitized our colleagues in dealing with guest rooms. Of course we are happy to check in our guests before 3 pm if the room is ready, otherwise the guests can leave the luggage at reception free of charge, as you used it.
We would be happy to welcoming you again in order to convince you about our Service standards again.
Yours sincerely, Andrea Martin, Guest Relation

Annual city break to Berlin, first time in Germany and it was a good choice.Hotel very central to all the key tourist locations and public transport.Upgraded to an executive room and it had access to balcony .Breakfast had a good selection and the Apple jam was lovely.I would get the Welcome Berlin card before you go as you can activate it at the airport.
