Visited today, the sun came out and it was warm. The Starbucks toilet was free and didn’t require a code. The Platz behind the gate was very nice, busy but had a great vibe. The gate or tor was nice to look at and bigger than I had imagined. The visible signs of war were a surprise.

If you go to Berlin you have to make your way to the Brandenburg Gate.
Very well preserved/restored. A portal to many historic periods....... triumphal, a scorched earth gate in a cold war desert, and a reminder of where the 'wall' used to stand!

Go in the late afternoon-evening to catch the setting sun, and enjoy the best of the day-night sight of the gate. Stunning infrastructure!

Well worth a visit as great to say you've seen and done it. Tick the box and move on. The childish side giggled more at the adjacent Kuntz University but a good spot to head over to see the where Hitler formed his government and back towards his bunker etc.
