I enjoy the game settlers of Nuremberg and so much of the exhibits here remind me of the game. Highlighted is the Merchant culture and the trade and city administration of Nuremberg.

This is an excellent museum and is a merchant's house in Nuremberg. A visit will give you the history of the City and its mediaeval working. You start at the fourth floor and work your way down. Audioguide available and essential if you don't read German.
The museum is easy to find on the way up to the castle.
Entry is 6 euros and you get an English audio guide.
The tour starts on the 4th floor where you have a large carved model of Nuremberg described to you.
You then travel down the floors with different characters describing Nuremberg through its history.
Its a fascinating museum a great mix of items and not too heavy or over long. Allow an hour and a half to visit.
The visit didn't start well as the staff were reluctant to let us in an hour before closing time! Not overly friendly although they did give us audio guides in English. The place was empty and the audio guide was very informative. However, many rooms although dramatic were very empty and we felt didn't tell a cohesive story. Disappointing as I'd looked forward to hearing about a medieval merchant and his family.
A good insight of the history of Nuremberg as well as a glimpse into the fantastic architecture of this beautiful house.
With an English Audio Guides in our possession, we were able to navigate our way through the history of the city and of the middle ages. Lots of artifacts to look at and media to help you understand. The top floor had a model of the city that lite up to highlight buildings and different events that took place in its history. A special tourist ticket allowed us to pay here and then when we went to the Albert Duer House, to get a reduced entrance fee.
