“Impressive architecture ”

Justizpalast is the Palace of Justice in Munich. This building still houses the Bavarian Ministry of Justice and parts of the Regional Court.

The palace was built in 1887 and the architecture was built in the neo-baroque style. Both the exterior of the building and the interior decoration is very impressive and nice to look at.

Even though it is a government building, it open to the public for free. Do remember to get the free pamphlet at the entrance as it provides useful information regarding the building.

Do remember to visit court room 253 as the White Rose trials took place here.

The old palace was opened at the end of the 19. century. It was too small, and still at the beginning of the 20.th century there was an additional building. The two building are in total contrast to each other, two very different style. It seems to us, that the old building is still not renovated. In the old house the courtroom 253 is , where the White Rose trial was held.

The building itself is very large and impressive. Most say, wow what kind of place is that? And they walk by. Those that have done some homework will realize that this is the place of the White Rose trails. You can go in and find the court room. We did not.

We went here but arrived too late so went back the next day.
It took us a while to find Courtroom 253 where the White Rose trial took place. Everything is in German which is a shame and we were the only 2 people there.
This was nice but also a shame that more people don't come to see the Courtroom where this trial took place.
Again the big bullies won and they were sentenced to death which was then committed a few hours after the trial.

If you have an interest in The White Rose movement then this is an interesting place to visit. You can find it in Courtroom 253 and it is free. This is where the actual trial took place. There is information there about but an understanding of German is necessary.
