The hotel is pretty basic but doesn't claim to be a 5 star establishment. The bonuses of the hotel are it's location as it's no more than a 5 minute walk to both the funicular or the gondola to take you up the hill quickly there is also a slow chair as well. At the end of the day you can ski back to around 100m of the hotel.
The staff are a credit to themselves and can't do enough to help from first arriving in resort until leaving, the food is top drawer and wouldn't be out of place in a more upmarket establishment. Our only real complaint is the layout of the bar area which is small and divided into two small rooms. The bedrooms aren't huge but the amount of time your in them isn't a major issue and there was always plenty of hot water rooms are cleaned everyday with clean towels on demand.

This is a 3 star hotel and expectations should nor exceed this, below are good points and not so good:

Location - Good - In Daille 3 minutes walk to the main bubble and venicular.

Ski Equipment - Poor - I would not use their recommended supplier - v close to hotel, but service was poor and the equipment worse (paid for Black, when not happy skiing with it and when checking on the web, got a starter pack).

Rooms - OK - My room was clean and tidy (but very small); I believe some people had unresolved issues with their sinks & loos). Aim to get a room facing the ski slopes - nice views and a bit bigger.

Food - Very good - Considering the star rating of the hotel - note that dinner is served in two settings.

Bar - Poor - although they try to make it nice, it is physically small and split into two - depressing and does not work.

Sitting Area - None - This is the real issue with the hotel, there is no communal seating area (and the bar is rubbish and has no windows).

Staff - Excellent - Really helpful, especially Megan the hotel manager.

Would I stay there again? If you are looking for a cheap way to ski the excellent Val/Tignes area this hotel does work, personally I would spend a more and get a hotel I am happy to stay at in the evening - but you get what you pay for.

The hotel has a great location with just a short level walk to the gondola, chair lift and Funival. The rooms are cleaned and beds made every day and are comfortable and clean but a bit on the warm side even with the radiator tuned off. The young staff are very good and Megan the manager runs a very good operation. The food is first class starting with Canapes before dinner and plenty of options on the menu, the wines which are included at dinner are a good quaffable quality and served generously. The breakfast includes all the usual continental items plus a hot English style buffet with eggs bacon sausages, baked beans and hash browns or boiled eggs or pancakes and porridge as well, you do not leave the table hungry. Afternoon tea includes cakes, biscuits and a very welcome addition of soup which I have not seen offered before at tea time in a ski chalet/hotel. The bar is well run and offers a cheap (by Val D'Isere standards) drinks deal.
The downside of the hotel is that there is no lounge to relax in, the boot rooms are inadequate for the number of people staying there and the WiFi is the worst I have encountered in a long time , it is so frustrating that it would be better to get rid of it and start again or not offer it at all. Val D'Isere has a very good free WiFi system which covered most gondolas and the excellent tourist office. In conclusion, the hotel which is run by Ski Total offers very good value for money and please do not be put off by previous bad reviews. The items that were complained about have been addressed by the excellent management and staff at the hotel. Dont expect luxury but excellent value for money in what is a very expensive resort

This hotel has the perfect location for access to all Val d’isere slopes . The closest chairlift and gondola are only 5 mins walk away . They link to every run within the whole area which is amazing.
This is a budget hotel so no point mentioning everything except a t.v in the room would have been nice and the very weak WiFi stretching to the room would have been convenient. I tried downloading in the public areas a few times but to no success.
The rooms are small, basic but warm and clean. Sound proofing was poor between rooms .
The bar and restaurant are not big enough for the size of hotel so you must take a 6pm or 8pm “slot” for dinner . The food was of a very high standard.
All though it was all inclusive there is no food between 9am and 4pm .
Reception was very helpful and the view from my balcony was stunning .
Megan the manager was friendly , efficient and managed the
Restaurant size brilliantly. Her staff were well trained and pleasant .
Glen the Ski Total Resort Representative answered all questions and was friendly .

Would I come here again ? Yes because the deal was good . We would have given four stars if the WiFi worked in room and there was a T.v .

We stayed here last week and had a great time.I had seen some negative reviews but overall, id say this place is good value-as always, you get what you pay for.

The building itself is tired and dated as was our room. The room (110) we stayed in was a bit small and storage was in issue-maybe a few hooks to hang damp gear on would have helped for not a lot of cost to fit?. There was also a couple of times when the shower was lukewarm at best but the room was clean and beds made every day.
The staff were all very young but were excellent and really did do the very best they could to make us feel welcome given the limitations of the surroundings.
The restaurant is small and cramped and dinner was served in 2 sittings to accommodate everyone.Overall, the evening meals were of a very high standard given the cost of the holiday and the staff were efficient and attentive and werent stingy with the wine- hats off tho the catering staff.
The breakfast choice was slightly more limited than other similar standard hotels ive stayed in but still not bad.
The location is ok but not quite ski in and out, the nearest lift being about 1-200 metres away and you could ski to within 50 metres or so.There is also a free resort bus that runs every 5 minutes that takes you into the centre of val disere so getting out and about was easy.

Overall, i would say this place is good value for money. If youre after luxury and funky modern rooms, then id go elsewhere and be prepared to spend a lot more. The staff and the food make up for the shortcomings of the property which is in need of some investment.
