This is a great fast tram service from the airport to the city center. If you plan in advance you can get a discount on the ticket (buy one month or 2 in advance)/ Plenty of space for luggage, frequent service.

Avoid this company! They really don’t care about their customers! We used this expensive tram because we didn’t have other options like bus! On the way to the airport the tram has been broken, we were locked inside. After we got out, we called the taxi. There were many people with us in the tram who got in troubles because they’re missed their flights. We missed our flights and had to pay a lot of money and we had big inconveniences! Tram support said it’s not their responsibility, about flights.
Really?!
It was my last time I used this tram.
They take a lot of money but sit don’t even have an insurance.
Honestly, this company ruined all our positive memories about Lyon. Truly Lyon’s shame!

This is the worst rip off ever. The price is outrageous, and the service is aweful. If you land at 11:30, you better be quick, because the last train is at midnight. Oh, you have a ID check by local police after landing, you need to wait for your luggage, then too bad, you won't make it on time, and even if you already paid for the return ticket when you flew out, it doesn't matter.
DON'T TAKE IT EVER ! TRY SHARED CARS, OR UBER, OR EVEN TAXI.

NE PRENEZ JAMAIS LE RHONEEXPRESS, il y a des blablacar qui font le trajet en journée, à plusieurs, prenez un UBER ou un taxi !

Handy to get from airport to city. Only took about half an hour. We had to get an Uber then to our hotel. Is pricey at €16.50 per person one way.

In its favour it was quick, departed and arrived on time and was clean. However the promised wifi did not work, and the absence of aircon when the outside temperature was 29 degrees made the journey rather uncomfortable. It was pricey and for two people a Uber would be a very similar price. The main advantage of a Uber or other taxi though would be convenience. The Rhonexpress stops a very long way from Terminal 1B (and seemingly a long way from the other terminals, although I could not be sure of that) leaving you with a very long walk in the sweltering heat, with no protection from the weather, carrying or pulling your luggage. The taxi would take you straight to the terminal. Also, the taxi would come straight to your hotel; you would not have to get yourself to the train station that the Rhonexpress departs from. On reflection I made the wrong decision in taking the Rhonexpress, and would not do so again.

Rhônexpress is a public transport, it offers many advantages and unlike the car, you will have to walk a few minutes to reach your terminal as in many airports.
We would be delighted to welcome you on board next time.
