We were looking for the best place to stay on Bohol and we found it in Amuni Ini.
If you are looking for a top class resort look no further. Fred the owner and his wife take care of their guests. So private, romantic, quiet, gorgeous setting, massage was great, food was fantastic. We went out on a day trip to chocolate hills and other interesting areas, snorkeling was fun....so relaxing and comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone. We had a wonderful time.

Room Tip: All rooms are very nice.....

Recently stayed at Amun Ini for a week with my husband and 3 children (ages15,13,10). We were a little worried about what it was going to be like after driving almost 2 hours from the airport, then turning onto a narrow dirt road to get to the resort. Once we were behind the entrance door to the resort we were greeted by friendly staff with cold towels and a fresh fruit cocktail. No reception desk or check in area, we were just lead straight to our rooms and given a form to fill in whenever we we ready. It is the most peaceful, secluded location on a private beach you could wish for. We ate almost all of our meals in the restaurant, only venturing into town on 2 occasions. The food was amazing and the chefs happy to change things upon request. Getting to know the staff over the week was lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Lito in the dive shop was great with our boys - they got to see 12 turtles on their first dive. I would have no hesitation in recommending this resort to others and would definitely put it on my list of places to return to.

Spent 6 days with the family in Anda, Bohol just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the CNY break. Our pediatric dentist recommended Amun Ini as she and her family have been here multiple times.

Upon reaching Tagbilaran Airport, we were met by our pick-up who whisked us to the resort. The ride took an hour and forty five minutes but once you reach the destination, all stress seems to disappear upon entering a secluded compound with lush trees and warm welcomimg staff greeting all guests, "Welcome Home!"

There were welcome drinks and hot towels for each of us and once settled in, you will be escorted to the rooms--no more tedious process of checking in since all needed info have already been communicated during the booking process.

Overall, the service of the staff is impeccable as filtered water is always refilled, candles and mosquito coils provided to ward off some flying friendlies, consistent turning on of the fan when temps soar and by the time we had our third meal, the staff already knew our names and preferences (e.g. Type of tea, when to have my espresso, etc.)

Staff were already very attentive but the owner and his family were even more on-point. Fred and Karin, the owners, welcomed us personally and throughout our stay, Fred was around to check on how we were, if there was anything else we needed, and often even just for a friendly chat. Special meals and off menu requests were never an issue which made our (especially the kids) stay even more special and memorable.

The food also made this trip particularly remarkable. The menu and wine list have a good selection and prepared with so much thought behind it by the chefs, Adrianne and Joshua, also part of the family. We even had single items multiple times since they were so good--blackened chicken, pan fried fish fillet, beef ragout with penne and the fluffy pancakes. It must be mentioned though that the food is mainly an offering of Western cuisine with a touch of local fresh seasonal ingredients, so if you're looking for mainly an Asian spread, this might not be the place for you. However, the chefs do accommodate special requests; you just have to let your request be known.

The beachfront is very private and only for hotel guests. You'll definitely be away from the crowd and tour groups; and won't be bothered by vendors offering massages or boat rides or trinkets. The beach itself is not very long nor wide, and is a bit coral-ly, but is a great start-off point for many dive sites around the area. The dive shop and their guides are a definite plus for this resort. Our kids, 14 and 11 took their Discovery SCUBA lessons (pool and open water) with their guides, namely Lito, and my wife even snorkeled with a personal guide, Leo, despite her previous fear of the water.

Amun Ini Resort is also not cheap but for the price that you pay, the service and quality of the food; and accommodations are definitely top notch and worth it.

Staying at Amun Ini feels like being welcomed by an old friend to his/her home. Will definitely come back to the Carmona's family home.

From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay at this outstanding resort was perfect. We were 'welcomed home' by a team of wonderful friendly staff, were given refreshing towels and a delicious welcome drink, while our bags were taken to our room. We were then shown around the grounds, which were beautiful, calming and tranquil, before being shown to our room - spacious with a huge comfortable bed, balcony, sea/pool view and generous bathroom.

I had arranged in secret, a surprise birthday dinner, and the staff were extremely discreet in organising a private poolside dinner which was so romantic. The food throughout our stay was absolutely incredible, as were the cocktails and wide selection of drinks - all reasonably priced.

The pool area was great, and just a minute walk down to the pristine private beach. We also made use of the spa and had two outstanding massages, overlooking the beach. All of the staff, including owner Fred and his wife, were so friendly, welcoming and really couldn't do enough for you. It was such a perfect experience; I don't think I have ever felt so relaxed and happy anywhere else in the world. If you are thinking of booking this place, do it! I can't wait to return and I was extremely sad to leave this perfect paradise!

Thank you to everyone at Amun Ini for such an unforgettable stay.
