A well rested trip!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Dec 4, 2019via mobile
We visited Blue Star Dive & Resort last November 29 until December 2.We reached the place after sunset. Upon arrival to that place, I have already noticed the serenity and calm ambience which surprised me so much. I told myself, “ I’m gonna have a great rest here.”
The staff welcomed me and my two former students. I loved to see the entire place the next day.
I woke up early to roam the entire resort and I was greatly surprised. I could not help but enjoyed the entire vicinity...I saw the beach and it was so heavenly...fabulous and breathtaking, perfect for nature lovers like me...it is an Instagrammable place indeed. There is a mini man made forest and a sea of aster flowers.

As we arrived storm Marillyn ruined our diving holiday. We had started our trip in Malapascua and booked a second resort for another week.
The resort is fantastic with great service and very nice rooms.
Good food and a decent bar selection.
As this is a dive resort I wonder if someone should have emailed us and told us diving would be impossible given the weather as we obviously didnt know we couldnt dive !
The divecentre owner told us diving would be impossible for our booked stay so we checked out early. The hotel manager discounted 2 out of 3 remaining nights .
Every one was nice enough but I think we could have saved us the very long trip to Anda from Malapascua and done something else as besides diving there is nothing else to do bar a island tour, which we done. The driver/ guide was fantastic.

We spent 7 days at the resort in April 2019. The resort itself is lovely. The rooms are updated and clean, and have every amenity you would expect, including fantastic views from the ocean view bungalows. The food was too good, we all ate too much and gained weight! The staff is wonderful, attentive, and accommodating. Don't skip the massages!

The real star is the dive center run by Mick Chapman and his lovely wife Mildred. A 5 Star PADI dive center, Mick accommodated our every request. We had our own Dive Master and chose our dive locations and profiles. Altho the dive shop is MANY stairs up from the dive boat, we never touched our gear. The boat crew set up, transported, and rinsed our gear daily. What fantastic service! The boat was very comfortable, easy on and off, with ginger tea and fruit snacks provided under the shade canopy between dives. The diving was gorgeous: coral walls, pygmy seahorses, mandarinfish, frogfish, etc.

We highly recommend Blue Star and the dive center for your trip to Anda!

Starting with the property - it is georgeous and well kept. Nice rooms.
Excellent Staff, suprisingly good food and plenty of vareity.
Stand out Dive shop, We needed a refresher and the Manager Mick delivered in spades. Equipment, Boat and especially all of the staff were again so professional and helpful. Mandarin Fish, the ugliest and the cutest frogfish and turtles galore. Attention paid to not being crowded out, what a pleasure.
    Extremely good value.

We enjoyed 7 nights at this beautiful resort.
Everything was very clean and well maintianed. The gardens were well taken care of, the pool was sparking clean and the food delicious. The included breakfast was plentiful.
Any requests we had were quickly taken care of.
The on site dive opertation was top notch. All dive sites are a short ride with the boat. The corals are outstanding and great snorkling from the shore.
Thanks to everyone at the Blue Star resort for a great week.
