Great little hotel, friendly and helpful staff, the rooms were big enough for the two of us,it was in a pretty good area, not close to the old quarter but not so far to be a problem.Plenty of cafés and restaurants around as well as retail shops.Great value hotel

Room tip: Pay extra and have the breakfast, well worth it

Driving through the Loire region, this hotel is a great stay in Nantes. It's location is tops right in place graslin, the bar and nightlife scene within steps from the hotel are awesome. The room itself was very comfortable, and their checkout time was 12:00pm which can be hard to find sometimes. If you aren't used to driving small town French streets, it may be a bit of a hassle trying to drive to the hotel and finding the parking lot next door but I stopped right in front and the front desk directed me. Parking isn't included so that kind of put a damper on things but overall a lovely stay and old school hotels that still require keys for entry are always my favorite.

This nice modest hotel is right in the heart of Nantes, and an easy walk to most places. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. There is a lot of nightlife in the area, and this leads to some noise.

Room tip: To stay away from the noise, ask for a room high up and away from the street.

Rooms are small but efficiently furnished. Clean and modern bathroom. Fantastic breakfast buffet.Great location in the heart of the city. Feel the 'savoire vivre'. Dinner at La Cigalle is a must. Just 5 minutes walk from hotel.

Room tip: Get a room not facing the street. Next door were three street cafes open till late night.

The central location is excellent, close by Place Grasin and the Opera building. Many other attractions are close by. Just follow the green line drawn on the pavement between the various places f interest to visitors to this attractive city. The greeting at Hotel Amiral was friendly and helpful. My room was smallish, but very adequate, recently refurbished and tastefully done. The bathroom likewise was smart modern, also small but functional. Look for the hand basin plug lever under the bench top! The room has good wifi. It was too warm for me with airconditioning off, so I left the window open- a bit noisy early in the morning.

Room tip: Our rooms on the fourth floor were all good, overlooking Rue Scribe
