Myself and 3 friends stayed at this hotel for 1 night while visiting Nantes. We were doing a summer season in a town not far from Nantes and wanted to see the city on a budget. One of those friends had stayed at this hotel before and said that it was worth it... she was right.
It is a modest hotel which we felt was great value. The rooms are clean and comfortable (the windows are also extremely sound proof - a group of teens were passing at 4am; we closed the window and couldn't hear a thing after that). The staff were lovely and very helpful (also speak rather good English for those with rusty French).
The location is fantastic, on a pleasant and quiet side street (and next door to an Irish Bar for those who wish a taste of 'home') it is right in the center of Nantes. The train station is within easy walking distance (roughly 10 - 15 mins) and a similar distant to the Chateau (well worth a walk around). There are also a number of shops, restaurants and bars, all within walking distance, so you will always have something to see and do no matter how far you wish to wander.More
